Human Resource Manager

Publishing Concepts (PCI) is seeking a Human Resource Manager to join our People Dept.  This person will partner with company leadership to provide employee and labor relations, drive culture change, identify opportunities for improvement and support the overall achievement and success of the company.  In 2015 and 2016, PCI was named the #1 Midsize Place to Work in the State of Texas by Texas Association of Businesses and the publishers of Texas Monthly Magazine.  This is a unique opportunity to help build the #1 Midsize Place to Work in Texas.

Here’s what you’ll do:

Creates, implements best practices policies, and programs
Actively promote, support and participate in changes to drive culture change
Identifies legal requirements and government reporting regulations for all relevant status and prepares information requested or require for compliance.  Coordinates and supports audits/reviews
Partners with management team on issues involving employee relations such as; discipline, suspensions, terminations, EEOC claims and rule interpretations
Directs employee performance management program.  Promotes the opportunity for a formal discussion by employees and their supervisors to review overall work performance
Maintain all personnel, payroll and related files to meet company, state, and federal regulations
Assumes other job-related duties as assigned 

Position Qualifications:

Must have a Bachelor’s degree in related field

5+ years of progressive experience as a Human Resources Manager

Must have experience driving culture changes

Working knowledge of HR related laws and regulations

Demonstrated knowledge of HR practice areas of benefits and employee relations

Ability to communicate effectively with all levels

Ability to identify and handle priorities and/or sensitive issues with discretion and confidentiality
